TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Yenny Wahid, the second daughter of Former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid a.k.a. Gus Dur, stated an Arabic term in the grand declaration of the Madura Bangkalan ulemas for Joko Widodo – Ma’ruf Amin (Jokowi – Ma’ruf).
“Jaa’a Qowiyyun Ma’ruf Aaminun. A strong, famous and trustworthy man has come. Who is he? Joko Widodo,” said Yenny at the Rato Ebuh Multipurpose Building, Madura, East Java, Wednesday, December 19.
Yenny said that Jokowi looks skinny, but Jokowi is a figure who is qowiyyun rojulun or a strong person. Strong people are not because of their bodies. “But from the mental,” she explained.
According to Yenny, Jokowi has always been called a foreign stooge. She said there was a skinny man riding a warship who sailed through Natuna waters. When passing through the waters, said Yenny, the skinny man only took ablution water in the vast ocean.
“But what is the meaning? The meaning of this very simple movement is his determination as the leader of the country to uphold our nation’s territorial sovereignty,” she said.
Yenny said, currently many countries are in dispute with China in international courts regarding the borderline. The waters of the Natuna Islands, Yenny said, could be one of the objects of the dispute. While other countries sent lawyers to sue in international courts, Yenny said, the skinny man had instead given an announcement to any country in the world that Indonesia was a sovereign country.
“Therefore, he goes to Natuna waters using a warship. Is one such person controlled by foreigners? Obviously not. He dares to challenge foreigners. He sinks foreign ships that are entering illegal waters. This is a very strong person. Rojulun qawiyyun, Jokowi. A strong leader,” she said.
