Jakarta Extends Tax Penalty Amnesty Up to December 31

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta provincial government extended the program of tax penalty amnesty until December 31, 2018. Head of Jakarta Regional Tax and Retribution Agency (BPRD) Faisal Syafruddin said his side was still weighing the high enthusiasm of people in paying tax during the program period.

Besides, Faisal added, several people were still in arrears. However, he stopped short to detail the number. “The Jakarta administration decides to continue to remove the administrative sanction for vehicle tax (PKB) and vehicle ownership transfer fee (BBN-KB), and the land and building tax in rural and urban areas (PBB-P2),” said Faisal in a written statement, Tuesday, December 18.

The continuation of tax penalty amnesty regulation has been ratified on December 17, 2018. The program was initially run for a month starting November 15, 2018.

The program service is opened in the PKB and BBN-KB office unit in the Samsat (Vehicle Document Registration Center), Samsat booth, subdistrict Samsat, mobile Samsat, and the booth of Jakarta BPRD in Pekan Raya Jakarta and payment service via ATM machine.

Meanwhile, services of the tax penalty amnesty for PBB-P2 are opened in all payment outlet, either via bank or ATM machine.
