TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, said that KH Ma'ruf Amin was focused on reducing anti-Islam slanders directed at Jokowi.

According to Cak Imin, since the beginning of the campaign period, Ma'ruf was still adopting a role as a 'fortress' to dispel anti-Islam issues against Jokowi.
Muhaimin is optimistic that starting this December, Ma'ruf has begun to boost Jokowi's electability. Muhaimin said that he understands that many blamed Ma'ruf for unable to boost Jokowi's electability. "It is natural, still in process," Cak imin said.
Previously, Eko Wiratmoko, Secretary-General of Cakra 19, a voluntary organization that supports Jokowi - Ma'ruf, admitted that Ma'ruf's influence was not strong enough. "Ma'ruf has no significant impact. Even if there is an [electability] increases, it is only one strip," he said.
