Lion Air Group Yet to Reduce Baggage Allowance

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lion Air Group confirmed that it has not made any reduction to the free baggage allowance/FBA for Lion Air and Wings Air.
The Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Danang M. Prihantoro, said that the airline us currently finalizing the policy.
"The status [of the FBA] is still normal, Lion Air is 20 kilograms and Wings Air is 10 kilograms. There is no change," Danang said on Monday, December 17, 2018.
On December 12, a circular letter was circulated by the airline marketing team to all travel agents. The letter contains provisions on the reduction of the FBA for Lion Air and Wings Air: 10 kilograms for Lion Air and 5 kilograms for Wings Air.
The changes will be applied to flight schedules starting December 20, 2018. For passengers carrying more excess baggage, the airline will apply prepaid baggage charges.
The prepaid baggage can be purchased at travel agents, official websites or Lion Air Group sales offices. It can be purchased when or after the ticket is issued at a cheaper price compared to excess baggage.
The prepaid baggage can be purchased no later than six hours before the scheduled departure. However, the reports stated that the implementation of the circular letter was postponed until January 8, 2019.
