TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned transportation operator PT Transjakarta Operational Director, Daud Joseph, admitted that the city still lacked numbers of the public minivan or locally known as angkot Jak Lingko. At present, there are only nine units of Jak Lingko operated in Tanah Abang.
Based on Tempo`s observation this morning, December 17, from 08:00 to 09:00 a.m, no Jak Lingko passes the passenger gate in the south gate of Tanah Abang Station.
“We have operated nine units of Jak Lingko minivan in Tanah Abang, from 62 units that have met Evdal (vehicle evaluation and control) test,” Daud told Tempo.
A day after the integrated transportation officially launched for operational by PT Transjakarta on Wednesday, December 12, angkot Jak Lingko was hard to find in Tanah Abang. No angkot passes the passenger pick-up gate for more than an hour starting 10:00 until 11:20 a.m.

Daud Joseph guaranteed numbers of Jak Lingko which integrated with Transjakarta bus joining the program would increase in line with the higher number of drivers who passed the driving license test (SIM A).
PT Transjakarta reportedly synergized with Traffic Directorate of Jakarta Metro Police to establish a collective test of SIM on last Saturday. “[We] even back up the test payment,” he added.
Daud explained the evdal test was required to maintain the vehicle worthiness standard. The company, he mentioned, would keep the minimum service standard of Jak Lingko drivers. “We continuously educate vehicle owners which part they must repair,” he said.
PT Transjakarta prepares eight routes of Jak Lingko angkot in Tanah Abang, namely Tawakal-Tanah Abang, Roxy-Benhil; Roxy Mas-Karet; Tanah Abang-Kota; Tanah Abang-Kebayoran Lama; Tanah Abang-Kampung Bary; Tanah Abang-Jembatan Lima; and Tanah Abang-Meruya.
Passengers of commuter line from Tanah Abang Station can board Jak Lingko angkot by tapping Jak Lingko card in the minivan as the payment system for free.
