President Jokowi Meets Nyak Sandang during his Visit to Aceh

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - During his official work visit to Aceh Province, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo met again with Nyak Sandang. Nyak Sandang is known as one of the initial donators whose funds enabled the Indonesian government to purchase the country’s first ever airplane.
Previously, President Jokowi had met with Nyak Sandang at the Merdeka Palace on March 21, 2018, in Jakarta.
According to the presidential secretariat's press release, their encounter in Aceh was held at the main lobby of the Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport. "I want to meet Pak Jokowi in person today," said Nyak Sandang while gently tapping Jokowi's back during the meeting.
Before meeting with President Jokowi, Nyak Sandang underwent a cataract surgery on March 28, 2018, the surgery was carried out by a team of presidential doctors under direct orders of the president.
During their brief conversations, President Jokowi offered his assistance to help Nyak Sandang to construct a Mosque at his village, and to have an Umrah trip.
