Jokowi Promises to Work on Infrastructure in Bogor in One Month

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The incumbent presidential candidate Joko Widodo or Jokowi said he would show his real work in Bogor Regency to convince the public to vote for him in the 2019 Presidential Election.

Jokowi stated his promise when attending the declaration of Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin campaign volunteers who named themselves as Baraya Jokowi-Amin Bogor Regency (Barjab) at the Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, Wednesday, December 12.

“I have received a request from Kang Bahlil (Chairman of the Barjab Advisory Board), that in Bogor, the infrastructure is still limited. Show (to me) the location, I will work on it in a month,” Jokowi said, which made the Pakansari Stadium noisy with the shouting of “Jokowi for two periods”.

“Show me where it is, I’ll wait, where is the village, where is the sub-district. Give me a month to prepare and I’ll do it,” Jokowi added.

Jokowi said, even though the government had allocated the village funds, but Bogor Regency still needed special attention.

“Especially for Bogor Regency, it requires special attention, because the area is very vast, the population is also very populous, even the most populous in the world,” Jokowi said.

Jokowi has made two visits to Bogor Regency in the context of the presidential election campaign. The first visit was held on Tuesday, November 27, when the declaration of 7000 Jokowi volunteers in the Olympic Bogorindo Sentul Warehousing Area, Bogor, West Java.

“This afternoon, I came again to Bogor Regency. I want to ensure that in Bogor Regency, on April 17, 2019, the votes we get can reach above 50 percent,” Jokowi said.
