Infrastructure Projects in 2019 Backed by Creative Funding

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani announced that 10 state-infrastructure projects in 2019 will be built using a government partnership and business entities funding scheme.

Sri Mulyani said that the infrastructure expense will be the focal point in the 2019 state budget (APBN). The government, she went on, will fund infrastructure projects through creative funding; not only originate from public funds and debts.

“We continue to develop fund mobilizations that will not only come from the public, and state-run businesses, but will also come from the private sector and even philanthropists through blended finance,” said Sri Mulyani. 

The 10 infrastructure projects in 2019 which will be funded using this scheme include four projects from the Transportation Ministry, four projects from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, and two from the Environment and Forestry Ministry.
