TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Director General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs held an audience with the Head of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) regarding the e-KTP configuration, including the finding of e-KTP (ID card) in a sack in East Jakarta.
“Today we have an agenda with Bareskrim to discuss all the e-KTP configuration,” said Director General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs Zudan Arif Fakrulloh when met at the National Police Bareskrim office on Monday, December 10.
Zudan was reluctant to explain further regarding the discussion. “After the meeting, the results will be informed,” Zudan said.
One sack containing 1,706 e-KTPs was previously found lying on a field in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Saturday, December 8. It was found by children who were playing in the field.
The Duren Sawit Police Chief Comr. Parlindungan Sutasuhut said all of the e-KTPs were still intact and allegedly original.
“We suspect those are the former e-KTPs of residents, they want to make the new ones,” he said.
