TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko `Jokowi` Widodo wants Indonesia to have many export-oriented start-ups. According to Jokowi, the startup businesses related to these products cannot be included in the network because there are still technical problems that must be solved offline.
"I want a lot of small startups to export, for example, fashion, handicraft, coffee, local fruits," Jokowi said when opening the Digital Startup Connection 2018 at Balai Kartini, Jakarta, Friday, December 7.

Jokowi said that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 welcomes new players into business networks.
"There is a rapid change; the world is looking for new normal conditions. Those who can respond quickly will reap the benefits," he said.
Such conditions, he continued, give a chance for small businesses to seize opportunities. "This is an opportunity for creative and innovative people to overtake the corner," Jokowi said.
The president also said that Indonesia's digital economy in 2017 contributed 7.3 percent to GDP. Jokowi also said that currently there are seven largest unicorns in Asia, four of which are from Indonesia.
