Tips to Shopping Online Safely during 2018 Harbolnas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An online shopping festival dubbed 2018 National Online Shopping Day alias Harbolnas will commence on December 11-12. Hundreds of e-commerce will offer low-priced items and huge discount during the event.

However, as consumers, we must be extra careful before making a purchase. There are tips that you have to keep in mind to stay safe when shopping online.

“See the seller rating. Then read comments about a product whether other consumers post positive comments. Good comments mean that many people shop there and it’s safe,” said Indra Yonathan, chief of 2018 Harbolnas, during a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 5.

Would-be buyers must also be wary as to not fall as victims of fake discounts. Should consumers find the issue, they could file a report through Harbolnas Experience Center on the official site of 2018 Harbolnas, Indra explained.

“We collaborate with e-commerce, and they will take down such a wrong discount information,” Indra concluded.
