3 State-Owned Enterprises Receive Award from KPK

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three state-owned enterprises (SOEs) received an award from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for its effort to prevent corruption through submissions of the State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) this year.

Based on a written statement received in Jakarta dated December 6, 2018, the three SOEs were Telkom Indonesia, Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). The three received the award in a commemoration event of 2018 International Anti-Corruption Day in Jakarta on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

"Congratulation to Telkom, KAI, and PGN for the achievement. This shows high commitment from the SOEs to support the corruption eradication in Indonesia, by fulfilling the LHKPN and applying gratification control in the company," said Gatot Trihargo, SOEs Ministry's Deputy for Financial Services, Surveying Services, and Consultation Services.

According to Gatot, the award was one of many appreciation symbols for the effort of SOEs to actualize good corporate governance (GCG). The ministry further maintained to encourage all national firms to implement the principle values of GCG.

KAI received the award for the second time. According to the data until November 2018, a total of 1,034 out of 1,039 individuals from KAI and its subsidiaries had reported the LHKPN, or that meant 99.52 percent of them had submitted the report through its online system e-LHKPN.

Telkom was recorded to have implemented LHKPN management throughout 2018 with the achievement rate reached 95 percent, and so 1,200 taxpayers or 98 percent people in the company had submitted their respective report.

Meanwhile, for PGN, the award was not its first achievement because last year it earned the same award. "This award can be achieved because participation of all PGN people, starting from the directors, commissioners, up to the task force in submitting the LHKPN report," said PGN corporate secretary Rachmat Hutama.
