BPPT introduces EV charging stations

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) officially introduced two charging stations (SPLU) for electric vehicles (EV) that are ready for service at BPPT offices in Jakarta and Serpong.

The charging stations for EVs are equipped with 50 kW CHADEMO-CCS-cable type 2 with a fastest charging time of 30-minutes, which is said to be Indonesia’s first and quickest charging facility.

“The 50kW quick charger can be used to recharge large electric vehicles such as Tesla or Mitsubishi i-MiEV in less than 30 minutes. Compared to home charging that can last 4 to 6 hours,” said BPPT technology, information, energy, and material Deputy (TIEM) Eniya Listiani Dewi today.
