TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential hopeful Sandiaga Uno said that he is still unable to distance himself from the shadow of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and said that he is often mistaken as Anies in a number of his presidential campaigns.
“The campaign has lasted three months and I am still called Pak Anies,” said Sandiaga Uno at the Indonesian Millennial Movement (GMI) in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, November 28.
He reenacted the way people call him and revealed that he encounters this situation mostly with housewives. However, Sandiaga said that he has no problem with the treatment he gets since he claims that people are starting to recognize him.
“Currently, I am only mistaken as Anies once a day,” said Sandiaga Uno who also recalled a number of funny moments along his political safari across Indonesia in the wake of the Presidential Election of 2019.
