TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Minister Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in London, Thomas Siregar, stated that Indonesia’s coffee captured the attention of visitors during the Indonesian Coffee Day on Sunday, November 25, held at the East Wing Somerset House in London.

Around 10 Indonesian coffee entrepreneurs, including millennial baristas, were involved in economic diplomacy meant to present the unique Indonesian coffee commodities and creativities.

England’s fair trade coffee chain supply manager, Anna Pierides, highlighted the fair trade of organic coffee production that has helped Indonesian coffee farmers to produce premium coffees valued at USD 4.8 million.

“As the fourth largest coffee producer, it is hoped that the Indonesian coffee exhibition will export more coffees from Indonesia to British soil,” said Rizal Sukma, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Kingdom and Ireland and international maritime organizations.

“The Indonesia Coffee Day is one of the means of economic diplomacy prioritized by the Indonesian Embassy in London,” said Rizal Sukma.
