TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi distributed around 1,300 land certificates in Central Lampung regency. The government is targeting to distribute at least 264,000 certificates in Lampung province. Especially for Central Lampung, Jokowi believes the National Land Agency (BPN) can distribute 30,200 land certificates in 2018.
“Every time I go to the region, to the villages, the complaint is always about land disputes. Not only in Lampung province, but in all provinces. In Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, NTB, NTT, Maluku, Papua, land disputes are everywhere,” he said in the Central Lampung Regency Complex, Friday, November 23.
Jokowi said he had frequently heard of land disputes in the country since around 2014-2015 between communities and companies and communities with the government.

Jokowi said there were still some 126 million land plots that required certification to date. He added, however, that until 2014 only 46 million plots that had been certified, thus the government still had to issue some 80 million more.
“It’s okay if you want to use this certificate as collateral or guarantee to the bank. I just entrusted it, before it is used for collateral, please calculate it first, if you want to borrow money from the bank,” Jokowi said.
Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) Sofyan Djalil, meanwhile, said his ministry would complete the certification process of all lands in the province by 2023.
