Tanjung Karang-Palembang Train Tickets Available for Year-end

TEMPO.CO, Ogan Komering Ulu - Baturaja Station in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra, has begin selling tickets for the Tanjung Karang-Palembang train (KA) for the 2018 year-end departure schedule.

"The train tickets have been sold for three months before the year-end holiday," said Head of Baturaja Station Saiful Bahri in Baturaja on Tuesday, November 21, 2018. Saiful added that tickets can be ordered online.

"Currently, there are not that many bookings. It is estimated that prospective passengers will start to order ahead of the year-end holiday in December 2018," said Saiful. Saiful said that there are still plenty of economy, business and executive-class train tickets available.

Saiful said that to anticipate the increase of passengers, train operator company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will provide additional trains. "If the number of passengers increases, there can be the additional executive train," Saiful explained.

KAI had also carried out line inspection to ensure smooth travel of the trains. KAI Operational Area VII Madiun, East Java, has examined the rails connecting the Kertosono-Blitar route.
