Jonan Reshuffles Energy Ministry Staff

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Ignasius Jonan made some changes to his staff line. Forty-three echelon III and IV officials have been reassigned to different positions while several are discharged for retirement. 

"Some got promotions and transfers. This is normative. This is something that needs to be done to develop experience," the minister said here on Wednesday, November 21.

One of the officials who was transferred is Munir Ahmad. He previously served as Director of Engineering and Environment at the Director General of Electricity, and has been promoted to Secretary to the Director General of Electricity.

Replacing Munir as the new Director of Engineering and Environment is Wanhar, who previously served as Head of Sub-directorate of Electrical and Technical Compliance.

Jonan also dismissed two Ministry officials who had entered retirement, Bambang Susigit and Agus Tribusono.
