Jokowi Departs to Central Java, Carry Out Work Agendas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo or Jokowi departed to Central Java after inaugurated the new Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa. In Central Java, Jokowi and First Lady Iriana will carry out a number of work agendas.

The Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media for the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, said that Jokowi's first agenda in Central Java was to attend the 2019 Central Java Villages Fund Management Workshop.

"The event will be held at the Semarang City Development Promotion Recreation Week (PRPP)," Bey said in a written statement on Thursday, November 22, 2018.

After the event, Jokowi will return to Ahmad Yani Airport to depart to Pekalongan City using the Super Puma helicopter of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).

In the evening, Jokowi will follow the commemoration of the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 1440H and National Heroes' Day in Kajen Square, Pekalongan Regency.

"After that, the President will go to Semarang City to spend the night and continue the work agenda the next day," Bey said.

President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana were accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Military Secretary of the President Air Marshal Trisno Hendradi, Commander of the Presidential Guard Major General Suhartono, and Coordinator of Presidential Special Staff Teten Masduki.
