TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi reshuffled today officials in the ministry’s Directorate General of Air Transportation following the Lion Air crash in the waters of Karawang, West Java last month.
Minister Budi Karya discharged Air Transportation director-general Agus Santoso. The position was given to Polana Banguningsih Pramesti today, November 12, in Jakarta. The minister also assigned a new Airport Director, Mohamad Pramintohadi, who was previously the secretary-general of Air Transportation DG-cum-acting director-general of Air Transportation.

Nur Isnin Istiartono was inaugurated as the secretary-general, replacing Pramintohadi, while Dadun Kohar was tapped as the director of aviation security.
As reported earlier, Lion Air PK-LQP crashed into waters of Karawang, West Java, while carrying 182 passengers and 7 cabin crew members. While en route to Pangkalpinang, the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft went off the radar just 12 minutes after it took off from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta, on Monday morning, October 29.
