TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commuter train operator Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) has resumed the operation of its Duri-Tangerang train after it was halted for roughly an hour following a house fire in a residential area near Taman Kota Station on Friday, November 9.
KCI spokesman Eva Chairunisa said the commuter train's (KRL) trip was stopped from 10:30 a.m. to 11:27 a.m. As a result, four sets of trains were stopped at Batu Ceper, Taman Kota, and Duri Station.
“The fire has been extinguished and now the KRL's trip has returned to normal,” Eva said through a short message.

The fire occurred around 10:20 a.m. To anticipate larger interference, KCI stopped the Upper Flow Electricity (LAA) of Duri-Tangerang route briefly since 10:30 a.m.
When the train was stopped, KCI appealed to the passengers who were in a rush to switch to other modes of transportation.
“As for the passengers who have made ticket transactions and canceled the trips, they can make have a refund at the nearest station counter,” said Eva.
Prior to today's fire, another fire took place on Thursday, November 8, in a slum by the railroad on Jl. Dokter Malakiwe Raya, Grogol Petamburan.
