Yusril Ihza Mahendra: Even Rizieq Shihab Cannot Call Prabowo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Crescent Star Party (PBB) chairman Yusril Ihza Mahendra claimed he could not contact the presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto. He said that even Rizieq Shihab could not reach the candidate number 02.

“Even Habib Rizieq cannot call Pak Prabowo at present. He is quite difficult to reach,” said Yusril explaining his relationship with Prabowo in the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, November 7.

Yusril said the running mate of Prabowo, Sandiaga Uno, had invited him and his party to support the candidate pair in the 2019 election. He then asked gains that a supporting party could earn in the legislative election, yet Prabowo-Sandi could not answer clearly.

Pak Sandi says it will be discussed with Prabowo, but there is no answer to date,” Yusril added.

Meanwhile, Yusril underlined that his new position as a lawyer of Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin pair did not imply that he supported the candidate number 01. The PBB, he said, has yet declared support to one of the two pairs.

“Jokowi-Ma’ruf does not invite me as the party chairman and PBB. I am asked as the advocate,” Yusril Ihza Mahendra concluded.
