WhatsApp Sets Up Private Reply Feature in Group Chat

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Top messaging application Whatsapp further developed its features. According to thestar.com on Monday, November 5, the platform would let users reply the group message privately without being seen by other members.

As reported in WABetaInfo, the feature installed in the beta version of Whatsapp would let users to privately reply to a message received in a group. The sent message would quote the group message.

The feature ‘Reply Privately’ allowed two individuals having a conversation in the group chat without sending chats in person since it would leave the context on the group.

The feature was launched as part of an updated version of Whatsapp beta version for Android 2.18.335, not available yet for iOS and Whatsapp web.

However, WABetaInfo reminded users not to update the platform to the new version considering it still hampered by bugs in which the app would possibly stop if users deleted media in the chat.
