TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 1,324 personnel were involved in the search for the Lion Air JT 610 aircraft on the eighth day on Monday, November 5.
According to data from the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Command Post at the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) II, Tanjung Priok, the number of personnel included 152 divers.
The search involved personnel from the Basarnas, Army, Navy, Air Force, National Police, Sea and Coast Guard Unit of the Ministry of Transportation and the Marine Security Agency.
The search also involved members from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance, the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology, Pertamina, the Jakarta Transportation Agency, the Indonesian Red Cross, the Indonesian Diving Sports Association, Indonesia Diver and the joint potential.
The divers are from the Basarnas Special Team, Semarang Search and Rescue Office, Lampung Search and Rescue Office, Indonesian Diving Sports Association and Indonesia Diver.
A team of divers from the Navy's Frog Forces Command, the Air Force Detachment Jalamangkara, the Navy's Amphibious Underwater Battalion, the Ministry of Transportation's Sea and Coast Guard Unit, the National Police Delta Car Brigade Unit and the Water Police also involved.
The search for the eighth day will involve 69 main elements of marine and five airborne element units that are on standby, supported by 30 units of ambulance as ground elements.
The search for victims and fuselage of the Lion Air JT 610 aircraft on the surface of the water will be carried out in an area of 360 square nautical miles, while the underwater search covering 5.4 square kilometers with a diving area of 2.7 square kilometers.
