KNKT Verifies Downloaded FDR Data of Lion Air JT 610 Black Box

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) head Soerjanto Tjahjono said the data from the flight data recorder (FDR) of Lion Air JT 610 has been downloaded and is now being verified.
“If the data has been verified, we will analyze it,” said Soerjanto in Ibis Hotel in Cawang on Monday, November 5. He outlined that the FDR data comprised 69-hour flight before the Monday crash, 19 flights, and 1,790 parameters of the aircraft.
KNKT, he added, involved various parties for the investigation process, including Airnav, to collect the communication data between the pilot and the air controller, “as well as radar and aircraft treatment data.”

Soerjanto continued the agency received primary radar data from the National Air Defense Command, which would be used to match the track and the height of the plane.
Earlier reports on data findings and facts from the investigation would be released one month after the incident, Soerjanto explained.
However, KNKT still strived to find the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of Lion Air JT 601's black box, whose signal had been lost since two days ago considering its significance in confirming the investigation results into the plane crash.
