Lion Air Gives Rp25mn Compensation for Funeral of Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lion Air provides compensation of Rp25 million for the funeral to every victim of the Lion Air JT 610 plane crash in Tanjung Karawang, West Java.
“We will provide compensation of Rp25 million for the burial of victims,” said communications representative of the Lion Air Ramaditya Handoko at the Lion Air crisis center, Ibis Hotel, Cawang, Jakarta, Friday, November 2.
Lion Air will finance the flights of the victims' bodies to areas where they will be buried.
Ramaditya said the repatriation would use the commercial aircraft by Lion Air Group, namely Lion Air, Batik Air, and Wings Air. The remains will be departed from Soekarno Hatta Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Kramat Jati Police Hospital and Lion Air Group had repatriated one identified victim, Jannatun Chintya Dewi, to her family on Wednesday night, October 31.
Jannatun’s body was repatriated using the Batik Air at 5 pm on Thursday, November 1, from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya.
