KPK Leaders Believe Novel Baswedan Assaulter to be Revealed

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Saut Situmorang believed the perpetrators and the motives for the attack on Novel Baswedan would be revealed one day.
“We must be patient and not stop in looking for motives and the perpetrators, we must be sure that one day we will reveal it,” he said when contacted on Wednesday, October 31.
Saut said the team from the KPK had coordinated with the police to see the progress of the case.

Saut said the statement in the framework of commemorating the 500-day attack on Novel. The two unidentified people poured acid water on Novel's face near his residence in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on April 11, 2017. The attack took place after Novel performed the dawn prayer at the Al-Ihsan Mosque located not far from his home.
As a result, Novel Baswedan’s left eye was damaged up to 95 percent. He had to run a number of operations in Singapore to cure his eyes. More than a year the event passed, the police have not been able to capture the two perpetrators.
