TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Basarnas headquarters became an eyewitness to the touching moment between Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and the relatives of the victims of Lion Air flight JT 610 this morning.
Sri Mulyani was saddened by the situation and took the time to comfort each and every family member that was there. The occassion specially held under the minister’s orders to gather the relatives of the dozens of Finance Ministry employees who perished in the accident.
A total of 21 Finance Ministry employees were onboard the ill-fated Lion Air JT 610 flight.

Of the figure, 12 people worked under the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), 2 members of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency, 6 members of the ministry’s Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb), and 3 members of the State Wealth Directorate General (DJKN).
During the gathering, Sri Mulyani expressed her utmost condolences to the Lion Air JT 610 victim’s families. The minister was there to personally monitor the development of the search effort conducted by the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in its crisis center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
