TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Lion Air aircraft with tail number JT-610, flying from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang, reportedly lost contact with air traffic controller this morning, October 29. Air traffic lost contact with the plane when it was it was flying above Tanjung Karawang, West Java.
The plane took off at 06:20 Jakarta time and was scheduled to land in Pangkal Pinang at 07:20.
According to reports, the AS JAYA II tug boar crew saw a plane plunging into the waters.
Lion Air is still tracking this information. The airline's PR officer Air Ramaditya Handoko told Tempo to stand-by for further information.
