TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia is currently gearing up for the show in the 2020 World Expo which is slated to take place in Dubai, Uni Emirate Arab, in October 2020 until April 2021. Indonesia attempts to show its potential in the global market in the 6-month exhibition.
“This is necessary for Indonesia to participate in the world expo that is held once in five years. This will show Indonesia's role and potential in the global market,” said Arlinda, Director General of National Export Development of Trade Ministry, in Tangerang, Thursday, Oct 25.
Arlinda conveyed the statement during the Road to Dubai, a sideline event of the 2018 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) in Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Tangerang. According to her, the Indonesia Pavilion would promote investment opportunities on gold, business, and other partnerships.

The opportunities would be promoted in various sectors, including trade, industry, education, e-commerce, agriculture, technology, telecommunication, environment, tourism, and culture. “Indonesia is ready to face the global challenge in the 2020 World Expo in Dubai,” Arlinda marked.
Indonesia Pavilion to be designed in 1,860 square meters in Dubai Trade Center Jebel Ali would raise a sub-theme Opportunity, besides Sustainability and Mobility.
“We open opportunities for local enterprises to partake in Indonesia Pavilion through various sponsorship partnership that profitable for both parties,” she noted.
Trade Ministry held a special program dubbed Road to Dubai to prepare itself in the 2020 World Expo. The program aimed at selecting many global innovative cooperations between the company, the government, and the public, with a scheme of Public Private Partnership.
