TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police have again summoned the suspect of false or hoax case, an activist Ratna Sarumpaet, today, Oct 22, 2018.
The lawyer of Ratna Sarumpaet, Insank Nasrudin, said the summon aimed for additional examination. “Yes, [the investigation is] at 1 p.m.,” Insank told Tempo Monday via a short message.
According to him, the police planned to question Ratna’s talks with several parties via a phone call. However, Insank was tight-lipped to mention the names. “I personally cannot reveal the names,” he said.
Ratna Sarumpaet previously claimed she was attacked and assaulted in Bandung, West Java, o September 21. The police then disclosed the fact that the bruises on her face were due to cosmetics surgery in a Bina Estetika Hospital located in Menteng, Central Jakarta.
The police arrested Ratna Sarumpaet in Soekarno Hatta International Airport before the latter departed to Santiago, Chile. She was now arrested in Jakarta Police detention center.
Earlier, the police had questioned several parties from the hospital, the Indonesian Labor Union Confederation Indonesia (KSPI) president Said Iqbal, the National Mandate Party (PAN) Amien Rais, the National Campaign Agency Prabowo-Sandiaga head Nanik S. Deyang, and spokesperson Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.
