TEMPO.CO, Malang - Malang City Administration will build Quran Museum by using four-dimensional (4D) technology which will be integrated with Malang City Islamic Center.
“We will design it like the one in Dubai,” said the Malang Mayor Sutiaji on Tuesday, October 6.
The museum will display a visualization of the contents of the Quran. It is expected that the museum can attract domestic and foreign tourists. In the near future, Malang City will also declare itself as one of the halal tourist destinations in Indonesia.
The construction of the Quran Museum is included in the initial draft of the Malang City mid-term plan 2019-2023.
Malang Deputy Mayor, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, said the construction concept will have the destination point character in order to attract visitors.
Malang City Islamic Center will be built in Arjowinangun Village, Kedungkandang District. The Quran Museum and Islamic Center will stand on 5.65 hectares area. It is estimated that the construction will cost Rp450 billion.
