TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Head of Bina Marga and Water Resources Office in Tangerang Regency, Slamet Budi, said there were 2 steps for the temporary handling of the ground crack due to grand moving in the village of Kadu Sirung, Pagedangan.

The solution is to build a plastering and pave the crack. “If covering the crack by paving is done, it only needs to make the plastering,” said Slamet, Wednesday, October 15.

According to Slamet, the plastering will be made in the area of land excavation owned by the developer of Bumi Serpong Damai which is not far from the village.

“Plastering was built by BSD [developer]. This is to hold the ground so that it does not slide or move, especially when it rains,” said Slamet.

Meanwhile, for handling the ground crack that extends around 50 meters with a depth of 0.5 meters to 1 meter, the covering has been completed.

“The crack covering was carried out in three stages, namely the crack cavity filled with macadam stone, compaction, then hot-mixed,” said Slamet.

According to Slamet, these two steps are only temporary and preventive as initial treatment. “These two steps are being carried out, and the monitoring continues to be carried out whether the crack will appear again or not,” he said.

The Tangerang Regency Administration is also awaiting the results of research by the University of Indonesia geologists who will be deployed to investigate the moving ground.
