TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) predicts that several sub-sectors such as the fashion, kriya, and culinary industries will maintain their large contribution toward Indonesia`s creative industry. It was described in Bekraf`s book entitled `Opus 2019` which was launched today.
“Opus will hopefully serve as a guideline for the government and creative economic agents upon developing their work and business,” said Bekraf deputy chief Ricky Joseph Pesik Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The bilingual book contains detailed developments of 16 subsectors in the creative economy under Bekraf’s supervision, which the agency predicts will generate gross domestic product above Rp1,000 trillion, and improve to Rp1,200 trillion in 2019.
Other sub-sectors that are predicted to become a new economic strength are the movie, arts, music, and gaming sector.
Bekraf first released their Opus series in 2017, which has continued to be developed along with the ever-growing sectors. “This is to show that Indonesia can be a significant player in the world’s creative economy,” said Ricky.
