Jokowi`s Winning Team to Raise Campaign Funds From Tycoons

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jokowi - Ma'ruf National Campaign Team treasurer, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, said his team would raise campaign funds from the tycoons by ‘selling’ the government programs from the incumbent presidential candidate Joko Widodo or Jokowi who side with the entrepreneurs.
“With policies that facilitate the entrepreneurs, it will certainly encourage community participation,” said Trenggono, at the Cemara Post, Jakarta on Tuesday, October 16.
Trenggono said he would ask for help from the Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) Bahlil Lahadalia and from the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan Roeslani, who joined Jokowi’s success team, to gather the tycoons in the campaign fundraising events.
“For example, we will make a night of funds, and then we ask Rosan to invite his entrepreneurs' friends,” he said.
To raise funds from the individuals and the community, Trenggono said his coalition would disseminate the special account number for campaign funds to the public.
