TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) faction compared the performance of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan during his one-year administration with Jokowi. PDI-P criticized various work programs that were considered to be out of focus for a year Anies has served.
Deputy Chairman of Commission C Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD), John Simanjuntak, assessed that the Governor’s movement to manage the administration in Jakarta did not focus on improving performance in the field.
“One year of Anies’s administration can be likened to rich in words, but poor in deeds,” he said during a press conference at the DPRD Jakarta building, Monday, October 15.
According to Jhonny, Anies did not touch directly on the core issues in the field. He gave an example, the change in the term OK Otrip became Jak Lingko and changed the name zero rupiah DP (down payment) to SAMAWA or the Residents House Solution.
According to him, the performance of Anies was 180 degrees compared to what was done by the previous administration, especially the former Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
“It's very different from Pak Jokowi. Poor in words, but rich in deeds,” he said.
The DPRD Jakarta member Banggar Pantas Nainggolan also said that leadership in Jakarta was a continuation.
“Anies initially agreed to accept the relay (from the previous Governor). However, what happened was he did not run faster, but instead walked in place,” he said.
Pantas criticized Anies’s intention to legalize becak (pedicab) in Jakarta. Moreover, there were currently 10 becak shelters that have been built in North Jakarta.
According to him, Anies should continue to implement the programs of the former Governor Jokowi, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and Djarot Saiful Hidayat that have been succeeded and were accepted by the community.
“Governor Anies should not be allergic to policies that have been implemented by the previous governors," he said.
Previously, Anies Baswedan said controversial things. The former education minister considered that Jokowi`s “work, work, work” slogan was not enough to run the administration.
“I believe that in working, we do not just need to work. It’s not enough,” he said some time ago.
