Bekasi Regent Discharged from Jokowi-Ma`ruf Campaign Team

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bekasi Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin was discharged from Jokowi-Ma`ruf campaign team after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named her as the suspect in the alleged bribery on the permit issuance of Meikarta property. Neneng was previously dismissed as Golkar cadre.
Jokowi-Ma’ruf National Campaign Team (TKN) spokesman Ace Hasan Shadzily said he had communicated with the head of West Java Regional Campaign Team, Dedi Mulyadi, regarding the position of Neneng Hasanah in the team.
“So, she will also be discharged from the campaign team,” said Ace to Tempo on Tuesday, Oct 16.

Neneng Hasanah joined the Jokowi-Ma’ruf campaign team in West Java chapter led by former Purwakarta Mayor Dedi Mulyadi. Based on the Letter No. 015/KPTS/TKN-JKWMA/IX/2018 issued by National Campaign Team, Neneng positioned as territorial director along with Bekasi Deputy Regent Eka Supria Atmaja.
KPK named Neneng and other four officials of Bekasi administration as the suspect of alleged bribery on the permit issuance of Meikarta project. KPK suspected that they received commitment fee worth Rp13 billion from the businessman under Lippo Group. KPK mentioned the bribe transaction thus far amounted to Rp7 billion for a number of the city officials.
Neneng and other suspects allegedly received the bribe money for the issuance of several permits for the mega property project in Cikarang, Bekasi, in 84.6 hectares of lands. The satellite city of Meikarta project was divided into three phase with the total area of 774 hectares.
