Pelindo III Improves Facilities to Lure International Cruise Ship

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run port operator company Pelindo III is set to charm cruise ship operators in hope of attracting international cruise industry to dock at Indonesian ports.
"This is our commitment to support the government's target of reaching 17 million foreign tourist visitations in 2018," said Pelindo III President Director Doso Agung in a press release on Friday, October 12, 2018.
Doso Agung said that the company will continue to create breakthroughs in hopes of attracting the interests of foreign cruise ship operators, such as organizing a priority program for ships that have confirmed their visitation schedule at Indonesian ports.
Apart from offering a smooth embarkation and arrival, Pelindo III is also prepared to go as far as being a guide for international cruise ship managements upon obtaining permits from local Indonesian administrations.
Other improvements consist of updated docking facilities at Celukan Bawang Port that can accommodate cruise ships with an overall length of 342 meters, 46.6 meter-width, and 9.2 meters deep.
