Here are the Funds That Must be Returned by Ratna Sarumpaet

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The acting head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency, Asiantoro, detailed the sponsor funds worth Rp70 million received by the artist-turned-activist Ratna Sarumpaet who recently named as the suspect of a hoax case.
“The flight ticket is Rp50,380,000, daily cost Rp19,857,000, and insurance Rp526,000,” said Asiantoro to reporters on Tuesday, October 8.
Asiantoro said Ratna Sarumpaet is required to return the money to Jakarta Provincial Administration as the trip to Chile, South America had already been canceled. The Jakarta Administration Bureau is currently assessing the money she must return.
According to Asiantoro, the administration bureau would account the money based on the amount of the refund ticket. “We don’t know the exact amount [of the refund ticket]. We’ll wait for the process,” he said.

Previously, the Jakarta Financial Administration Bureau and Regional Assets Secretariat head, Hasanah, would send a warning letter to Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency for the financial report of Ratna Sarumpaet in light of her trip to Chile.
Hasanah explained that Ratna must repay the allowance and the booked ticket and the city government needed to coordinate with the airline for the refund process.
Earlier in January, Ratna Sarumpaet asked for financial aid to Jakarta Provincial Government to attend the 11th Women Playwrights International Conference 2018 in Santiago, Chile on October 7-12, 2018. However, Ratna failed to depart as Jakarta Police arrested her on Thursday evening, October 4.
