TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has introduced Jak Lingko to replace the name of his program One Karcis One Trip (OK OTrip). Jak Lingko represents the integrated transportation means in the capital city.
“Today, we launch a name for the integrated transportation system, Jak Lingko,” said Anies in the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 8.
According to Anies, Lingko means connected that represents an integrated public transportation system.
Anies expected the city transportation integrated with the same system. Jak Lingko will be officially launched at the end of October 2018.
Jakarta Provincial Government agreed with the Language Development and Fostering Agency of the Education and Culture Ministry to launch the name Lingko along with other hundreds of words.
Previously, Anies Baswedan said he planned to rebrand the name of OK Otrip initiated by Sandiaga Uno and teams following the latter’s resignation as Jakarta deputy governor to be Prabowo Subianto’s running mate in the presidential next year. The program that was claimed able to cut transportation cost of Jakartans by 30 percent.
