Authority Shuts Down 3 Massage Parlors for Prostitution Service

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta public order enforcers (Satpol PP) shut down three massage parlors in South Jakarta, Friday, October 5, for providing prostitution service. Jakarta Satpol PP chief Yani Wahyu said that his team also scraped out of the business permits of the three massage parlors, namely O2, Gives, and NYX.

“They were proven to have provided and facilitated human trafficking [business] there,” he confirmed Friday.

According to Yani, the three businesses have violated Article 38 Paragraph 2K of Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 18/2018, overseeing a business parlor must be steered clear from any criminal acts.





Each parlor providing prostitution service imposed with different sanctions. The authority scraped the karaoke, bar, and massage services permit for Gives while NYX was imposed with the revocation of its massage service. As for O2, the authority scraped out its entire business permits since O2 had not owned a business permit.
