Debris and damaged houses are seen in Petobo Village, Indonesia October 3, 2018 in this still image obtained from a social media drone video. Satellite images of the Petobo district, south of Palu's airport, showed another large area of urban development seemingly wiped clear of buildings. "When the quake hit, the layers below the surface of the earth became muddy and loose," said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of Indonesia's national disaster mitigation agency. TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Ignasius Jonan ensures electricity system in Palu and Donggala will recover next week.

At present, electricity in the disaster-torn regions can already be used for public facilities. At least 5 of the 7 power sub-stations covering Palu, Donggala, Sigi, Parigi Moutong have been operative, as well as  28 of the 45 distribution/feeder systems.

"So the electricity has recovered, around 60 percent. Five percent is supplied from the generators. So 65 percent in total,” said Jonan.
