TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The internationally known Indonesian automotive custom event `Kustomfest 2018` is set to be held at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC) in Yogyakarta for two days starting from October 6. This event will not only accommodate custom-built motorcycles but also a chance for visitors to share knowledge with builders at the event.

“We would like the upcoming Kustomfest 2018 to provide new inspiration for custom builders in Indonesia to further develop their talent. We will invite custom experts as a guest of the show,” said Lulut Wahyudi, the director of Kustomfest 2018 event, yesterday.

One key speaker present at the show will give free tutorials. The speakers include internationally-known builders such as Cristian Sosa from Sosa Metalworks that is based in Nevada, United States. He once partnered with BMW upon creating a concept bike for the German manufacturer.

“Attending the Kustomfest 2018 will be Sosa’s inaugural visit to Indonesia. He is set to share several tutorials to custom builders and his ongoing projects,” said Lulut.

However, Sosa is unable to transport his tools from the US considering it would be too costly to ship.

Other than Sosa, the event will see Eero Kumanto from Finland, who’s known to be the crafter of numerous modifications for Hot Wheel and other miniature car brands.

Los Angeles builder Yaniv Evan will also be present in the Kustomfest 2018. Yaniv founded the Powerplant Motorcycle in 2002 before going worldwide.
