TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said as many as 13 employees of Tax Directorate General, victims of Palu earthquakes Central Sulawesi, have been found after previously there was no news of them after the quake.
“Thirteen employees of Tax DG have been successfully found,” Sri Mulyani said at her office, Jakarta, after attending the ceremony of Pancasila Sanctity Day on Monday, October 1.
Yesterday reports suggested that the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded 832 people died due to the quakes in Palu and Donggala. The figure is expected to keep climbing.

Sri Mulyani mentioned one out of 13 employees found was a pregnant woman who then successfully deliver the baby. They have been now evacuated to Balikpapan and some to Makassar.
Moreover, customs employees also became victims of the quakes. They participated in the ministry’s program Kemenkeu Mengajar (MoF Voluntary Teaching) in the region.
“Today morning, they have been found along with thousands of teachers partake in Kemenkeu Mengajar program. Thank you for finding them,” Sri said.
The Finance Ministry, Sri Mulyani added, strived to provide full support to all employees and family who fell into victims. She mentioned the ministry has immediately identified all employees who have duties in the regions affected by earthquakes in Palu.
