Survey: Democrat`s Support for Prabowo - Sandiaga the Least Solid

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Executive Director of Indikator Burhanuddin Muhtadi said the Democratic Party was the least solid party in supporting the 2019 presidential and vice presidential candidates, Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno.

“Most Democratic Party voters choose Jokowi – Ma’ruf rather than Prabowo - Sandiaga,” Burhanuddin said at the Indikator’s office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 26.

Based on the result of the Indikator’s survey on September 1-6, 53 percent of the Democratic voter base supported the Jokowi – Ma’ruf. While the base that supports Prabowo - Sandiaga is around 43.4 percent.

According to Burhanuddin, in political science, this condition is called as split-ticket voting, the choice of supporting parties is not in accordance with the wishes of their mass base.
