TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Spokesperson of the National Campaign Agency (BPN) Prabowo-Sandiaga, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, asserted his side would take a legal action to deal with the issue of Sandiaga scandal that recently highlighted on social media since Tuesday, September 25.
“We are currently drafting the report, perhaps within the next one to two days [we will file it to the authority],” Dahnil told Tempo today, September 26.
However, Prabowo-Sandiaga coalition pessimistic the law apparatus would immediately proceed the report considering the police was usually slow in responding cases submitted by the opposition party. “We are grateful if the police are proactive [in handling the case],” Dahnil added.
The negative issue involving Sandiaga Uno was first published on a website skandalsandiaga.com. The articles posted on September 22, 2018, said Sandiaga had affairs with several women. The site also displayed photos attacking the vice presidential candidate.

The campaign team’s advocacy department member Sufmi Dasco Ahmad on Tuesday, September 25 affirmed his side would take a legal action against the issue. However, Dasco was reluctant to detail the team’s strategy.
“We are currently approaching several strategies that we cannot share to the public,” said Dasco via a phone call with Tempo today, September 26. According to him, the campaign team worked silently since the issue circulated.
According to Dasco, the scandal issue involving the former Jakarta deputy governor was not merely detrimental for Prabowo-Sandiaga pair, but it would also raise more support and votes to the pair no. 2.
