Jokowi`s Team to Get Electoral Identification Number Tonight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential and vice presidential hopefuls Joko `Jokowi` Widodo-Ma`ruf Amin is scheduled to take their 2019 electoral identification number this evening. The Jokowi-Ma`ruf coalition said that the team has prepared a surprise for the event.
“There will be a surprise later. The creative team has been formed and is directly led by Erick Thohir as their campaign team’s (TKN) leader,” said the TKN secretary general Hasto Kristiyanto in Jakarta on Thursday, Sept. 20.
However, Hasto was reluctant to reveal the team’s tagline or nickname for the pair’s campaign efforts in the 2019 presidential election.
Jokowi – Ma’aruf will be accompanied by nine chairmen from political parties that either endorses or supports the pair. Meanwhile, there are nine party secretary generals that will standby at the General Election Commission (KPU) headquarters, where the event will be held.
According to KPU Commissioner Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi, the reason why Jokowi’s camp scheduled to take their identification number later in the night is also because the timing corresponds to the television prime-time. He argues it will increase Jokowi’s exposure among members of the public.
