“This love is the strength that made Susy Susanti what she is now. We can see her spirit from 1985 when she won the world junior championship and that fire can still be felt now by millenials,” said the movie’s producer Daniel Mananta in a press conference at Istora Senayan on Wednesday, September 19.
This biopic will also mark Sim F’s first time being a director for a cinema movie. “It is about time that this movie is made. The process was lengthy with struggles. Everything is flowing just like water,” he said.
Susy Susanti also welcomed the movie plan positively and hopes that the movie will be able to inspire not just Indonesians but the world. Susy will be played by Laura Basuki while Dion Wiyoko will play as Alan Budikusuma.
