Bali Ngurah Rai Airport Sees Increase in Number of Tourist Visits

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura I stated that the Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali served in average 1.95 million passengers per month from January-August 2018. This is an eight percent increase from a total of 15.6 million passengers compared to 2017.
“The statistics of passengers from time to time continues to increase and we hope will be able to jack up the goal of foreign tourists,” said I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport General Manager Yanus Suprayogi at Denpasar, Bali, yesterday.

He revealed further statistics that show an increase of daily average passengers reaching 64,300 people per day, while it had average-hourly passenger traffic of 3,388 people. From the total of 15.6 million passengers in the past eight months, 4.1 million of them are overseas tourists.
Breaking down the numbers show that Chinese tourists contributed the largest visitations to the Ngurah Rai Airport with 23.5 percent, Australia ranks second with 18.6 percent, followed by India with 5.9 percent, England with 4.4 percent, and Japan with 4.1 percent.
