Dahlan Iskan, Risma Join Jokowi-Ma`ruf Campaign Team in E.Java

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The secretary of the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) East Java, Sri Untari Bisowarno, said several figures and regional heads in East Java–who are cadres of party coalition supporting Jokowi-Ma`ruf pair–would join the campaign team.
They are Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini, Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas, former East Java Governor Imam Utomo, and former SOE Minister Dahlan Iskan.
The regional heads listed in the campaign team appointed as the coordinator in respective regions while the former East Java Police chief Insp. Gen. Machfud Arifin would lead the team. “The team formation has been fixed,” said Sri Thursday, September 20.
Sri Untari, who is also the secretary of the campaign team in East Java region, said that based on the national meeting of the campaign team, East Java would obtain 65 percent votes for Jokowi-Ma’ruf. She expressed optimism in achieving the target. “I believe we can reach the target because East Java is the basis place of nahdliyin (Islamic organization NU community) and nationalist,” she said.
Another factor, Sri Untari added, was the works of President Jokowi that were beneficial for the public, particularly the road infrastructure. The society was no longer complain about congestion since the completion of the development of the Trans Java toll road.
According to her, the regional product distribution was relatively faster with cheaper prices, especially for the agricultural product. “It means President Jokowi works for the society, not only for his groups,” said the secretary of Jokowi-Ma’ruf campaign team for East Java.
